SIZING AND FINISH
There are four (4) factors to consider when you select your photo for purchase – size, border, aspect ratio, and finish.
You have a choice between selecting from our standard size options, or our custom size options:
Standard size option: Standard sized options are listed on the website drop down menu in three options unique to the image. Each image is printed on the following photo paper, with the images scaled to the appropriate dimensions:
Small: Photo is printed on 8 ½ x 11 inch sized photo paper.
Medium: Photo is printed on 13 x 19 inch sized photo paper.
Large: Photo is printed on 17 x 22 inch sized photo paper.
Note: For all photographs, final dimensions of the printed photo will depend upon the aspect ratio of the original photograph (see paragraph 2 for explanation of aspect ratios). This final image size is listed when selecting the image.
Custom size option (up to 24” x 60”): Custom format photograph prints are available in any size up to 24 inches x 60 inches. If you are interested in purchasing a custom format print, go to the ‘Contact Tab’ on the home page and email your specific request. Include the name of the gallery your photo is in, the photo’s name, and your preferred photograph dimensions. Based on the aspect ratio of the original photograph, we will work with you to print your custom format selection as close to your preferred dimensions as possible.

Pricing: Pricing for the standard size options are:
Small: $25
Medium: $50
Large: $75

Pricing for custom format photographs is $31 per square foot (sq ft). Example: Purchase of a 24 inch x 36 inch photograph that sells for $186.
-
24” x 36” = 864 square inches
-
864 square inches/144” = 6 sq ft
-
6 sq ft x $31/sq ft = Final price of $186

Border
Size
You have a choice of selecting a photograph with border or without border.

The borders are preset based on the image dimensions and size selection.
Aspect Ratios
An aspect ratio is a proportional relationship between an image's width and height. Essentially, it describes an image's shape. Aspect ratios are written as a ratio of width to height, like this: 2:1. For example, a square image has an aspect ratio of 1:1, since the height and width are the same. The aspect ratio associated with our photographs will determine the final dimensions of your printed picture based on the paper size you choose (Small, Medium, or Large). We have analyzed each photograph throughout our Galleries and have listed the maximum dimensions per paper size that our photos can be printed to.
Example 1: A photo with aspect ratio of 1.5:1 (Landscape Orientation)
-
Small (photo printed on 8 ½” x 11” paper) will produce a 10” x 7” printed photo.
-
Medium (photo printed on 13” x 19” paper) will produce a 18” x 12” printed photo.
-
Large (photo printed on 17” x 22” paper) will produce a 21” x 14” printed photo.

Example 2: A photo with aspect ratio of 1:1.5 (Portrait Orientation)
-
Small (photo printed on 8 ½” x 11” paper) will produce a 7” x 10” printed photo.
-
Medium (photo printed on 13” x 19” paper) will produce a 12” x 18” printed photo.
-
Large (photo printed on 17” x 22” paper) will produce a 14” x 21” printed photo.
You have three (3) choices for the finish of our photograph – matte, glossy, or luster.

Matte Finish: A matte finish is smooth, won’t show fingerprints and is non-glare. This finish looks very professional and is great for portraiture and framing. Photos printed with a matte finish look classic and beautiful. Additionally, it works very well with a black and white pictures.

Glossy Finish: Glossy finishes are shiny and highly reflective; this finish will show lots of bold colors. Images printed with a glossy finish tend to show fingerprints and scratches and are likely to stick to the glass when framed, so it’s a good finish choice for everyday snapshots and vibrant photos.

Luster Finish: A beautiful combination of glossy and matte. Luster finish has a semi-gloss finish and offers better color saturation than matte but is more protected from fingerprints and other damage that glossy photos are vulnerable to.
